Ensure outdoor cooking safety by checking for flammable materials above the propane roaster. Always have a fire extinguisher readily available. Prepare the roaster by placing it on a stable work surface. This propane roaster operates using 120VAC and a standard propane tank. To start, make sure the roaster's gas valve is in the off position, which is perpendicular to the supply line, indicated by a yellow or red handle. Connect the supply hose to the propane tank, then turn on the gas and check for leaks using a soap and water solution in a spray bottle. Have a long lighter or long match ready before turning the roaster's gas valve to the on position. For optimal performance, load your chiles or vegetables into the roaster and turn on the motor to start the basket turning. If you have a manual roaster, turn the handle counterclockwise. Light the match or lighter, then turn the gas valve ¼ turn to ignite all burners. Now, fully open the gas valve, and you are ready for roasting. Once your chiles or vegetables are cooked to your liking, turn off the gas valve. Afterward, switch off the motor to position the door for easy unloading. You can now enjoy your chiles or vegetables safely, following these propane roaster guidelines.
